Enterprise-wide deployment for a 2,500 employee national company
This started with a pilot project for about 50 employees to test the capabilities of the e-mail as well as a Sales Force Automation (SFA) application. Compupro setup the pilot facilitating the decision to implement Notes throughout the company. We were involved from the beginning to the successful completion of the implementation. Compupro continues to provide administration support as well as application development efforts. Some of the key roles and accomplishments:
- Designed the Notes network infrastructure
- Developed and executed an implementation plan
- Installed and maintained multiple mail gateways to keep the mail flowing between 5 different mail systems
- Converted existing mailboxes to Notes
- Developed and conducted an end-user training program specific to the client's needs
- Installed servers and assisted in the installation of the user-base through automated installs and response files
- Setup clustering for load balancing and failover
- Designed the dial-in capabilities and procedures for a 400 user mobile work force
- Administered the Notes network and trained in-house staff on Domino administration
- Setup two Domino FAX servers - one for an IVR automated FAX back, the other for automated order confirmation
- Developed administration and application development standards
- Integrated Notes with PeopleSoft for distribution of Monthly P&Ls
- Developed numerous, highly visible, Notes applications to expedite the use and acceptance of Notes by the user community
